In spite of the challenges of the COVID-19 outbreak, Catholic Foundation of Maine continues to work and grow. Although the staff is working primarily from home, and in-person meetings are being held virtually, business continues.
At the start of the outbreak in Maine, CFM was able to send payouts to endowment beneficiaries on schedule, and payouts were the largest that they have ever been since the inception of the Foundation. These payouts reached parishes, churches, schools, and ministries at a time when financial help is desperately needed. CFM has also been able to keep in touch with donors, whether through phone calls, emails, video meetings, or sending cards.
Despite the current economic outlook, CFM also continues to see the incredible generosity of donors, including the creation of three new endowments:
All Saints Parish Endowment
Notre Dame du Mont Carmel Parish Endowment
Peter P. and Marjorie S. Clifford Endowed Fund for the benefit of Prince of Peace Parish.
These three new endowments will provide continued help for the work of the Catholic Church in Maine.
If you are interested in contributing to an existing endowment or starting a new one, or if you are wondering what endowments may benefit your parish, please reach out at any time. We will be happy to answer any questions and speak with you by phone, email, or video conference.
